Parker-Anderson Enrichment joins Dwight with Little Beats Big Feelings! Welcome to a joyful journey of rhythm, expression, and imagination. This playful, inclusive music curriculum uses tongue drums, movement, and storytelling. Students explore sound, emotion, and creativity, and will receive a tongue drum to keep at the end of this course.

Super Soccer Stars | 3:30-4:45 pm | K-Grade 2 | $440

This soccer program will focus on teaching your child to be comfortable with the ball by developing soccer skills such as dribbling and shooting, and an introduction to passing. This program from Super Soccer Stars includes partner activities to promote sharing, listening, respect, and cooperation. Physical activities include dynamic exercises like moving with pace, changing directions, and lateral agility.

Chess Adventures | 3:30-4:45 pm | K-Grade 4 | $440

Enjoy the ultimate class for kindergarten-grade 4 students as we explore the exciting world of chess. Dive into interactive lessons, learn from legendary battles, and master the strategies of chess greats like Bobby Fischer and Magnus Carlsen. With practice tournaments and engaging play, every session is an adventure designed to enhance your child’s skills. Is your child ready to become a master strategist and have fun? Join us for an adventurous chess journey from U.S. Chess Academy! Students will be assessed during the first day of the program and grouped according to levels.

The screen time stops here!  Our weekly Central Park EDventures include shelter building, bird tracking & fun-filled woodlands quests – plus an original variety of awesome games & activities!  This exhilarating OUTDOOR program builds confidence, while encouraging teamwork, creativity and open-ended education. The possibilities?  Endless!  The experiences?  Memorable!! The FUN?  Guaranteed!!!

Get your skates and gear on, and join our fantastic coaches for After-School in the park with the iconic Roll America. Each week, students will learn a new skill (from basic to advanced techniques), play some rolling games, and have fun on wheels. We will also occasionally bring music to learn some cool roller dance moves. This is a great class for beginners to advanced skaters.

After-School Jr. Tennis Academy will create a high energy on-court experience, coupled with an innovative curriculum to challenge players of all ages and levels. Tennis Innovators pros will engage students with challenging drills and games that develop their strokes, coordination, and point play opportunities. Join us for an elevated on-court experience on the rooftop.

Get ready to move, make, and mingle in Groove and Glue with Mr. Tim! This is the place where energy meets artistry. We’ll kick things off with some seriously funky and free-form movement — think vibrant dancing and creative movement activities designed to get those wiggles out and creativity flowing! Then, we’ll switch gears and let our imaginations flow with awesome art projects. From dazzling paintings to 3D creations, we'll be gluing, glittering, and making masterpieces. If your child is ready for a mix of high-energy motion and hands-on creation, this is the perfect jam session! Come vibe with Mr. Tim and unleash your inner dancer and designer!

Duck and go! Mr. Presti and Mr. Panahi will offer this very popular game as an after-school activity. Whether your child likes to charge the line with an amazing throwing arm, or prefers to hide and wait with the sneakiness of a chess master, a classic game of dodgeball offers fun and excitement to every style of player.

Lego Robotics | 3:30-4:45 pm | K-Grade 1 | $495

Partnering with Code Advantage, this junior robotics course uses a hands-on approach to STEM discovery. Students learn valuable coding concepts while tapping into their imaginations to create and program robots. Step by step, we build a variety of cool LEGO robots based around a motor and controller. Then, kids use a block-based programming language to make their creation come to life! It’s educational, cool, and FUN!

Music Wiz: Rock Band/Orchestra/Vocal | 3:30-4:45 pm | Grades 1-4 | $495

Welcome to our very popular and fun musical enrichment after-school program, led by Ms. Zambetti! As we celebrate its twelfth birthday, we invite our youngest students to experience its many holistic benefits, further building their social-emotional skills and hand-eye coordination as part of fine and gross motor skills development. A great creative and physical energy outlet, this fun music activity is filled with creative movement games and exploration of a wide variety of world instruments in a less formal and vibrant social setting. Please note that our beloved Spring Spotlight show is back this year at our new 94th Street Campus! This is a wonderful tradition where your children get to share their many musical talents with you. Work with Mr. Bingham in the Spark Lab to become a game designer! Brainstorm ideas, create pixel art, and learn how to code amazing arcade games. We will also learn how to use digital fabrication tools like the laser cutter and 3D printer to create custom game controllers.

Curated Care is proud to present Pokémon Club! Practicing basic math, communication, team building, and literacy skills, kiddos will learn to play the classic card game, Pokémon! Students of all experience levels from beginner to advanced will learn to play together.

Parkour Adventures | 3:30-4:45 pm | Grades 3-4 | $495

The Movement Creative is thrilled to partner with Dwight School to offer Parkour Adventures this spring! Parkour is a fun and exciting physical activity for school-aged children to explore! Coaches place an emphasis on safe movement progressions when teaching skills and help students develop body awareness, strength, coordination, and mobility. Climbing, vaulting, and jumping are explored safely in nearby playgrounds and parks. Parkour skills are integrated into collaborative games that foster a sense of community and build social and problem-solving skills.

A note about outdoor, cold-weather play: The Movement Creative values outdoor play in all kinds of weather in the same spirit as the European forest schools, an educational philosophy that can now be readily found in the U.S. and even here in NYC. “There is no bad weather, only bad clothes,” is the Norwegian adage that we try to abide by. Mystery of Magic | 3:30-4:45 pm | Grades 1-2 | $495

Roll America presents Mystery of Magic! Be part of the mystical and exciting world of magic. Every week our magic gurus will introduce apprentice magicians to a few different tricks. Students will be able to impress their friends and family with various card tricks, disappearing coins, sleight of hand, and more.  We supply the materials and expertise, students bring their enthusiasm. At the end of the program, we will have a performance.

Brought to you by Curated Care, get ready to dance, groove, and shine like your favorite K-pop stars! In this high-energy class, kiddos will learn fun choreography to upbeat K-pop hits while building rhythm and performance skills. We'll bop to Blackpink, bounce to BTS, and hit the stage to perform our best HUNTR/X moves! Perfect for young performers who love music, movement, and a little extra sparkle on stage!

Kicks Run Club | 3:30-4:45 pm | Grades 1-2 | $495

Kicks Run Club is NYC's leading running experience for children ages 4-18. The primary goal of Kicks is to help young athletes become better runners and happier, healthier kids! Each session will include a warm-up, brief lesson, running game, age-appropriate distance run in varied locations, and lots and lots of fun! Each season, runners will train in a fun and supportive environment and participate in exciting community races. Running is scientifically proven to make children physically, mentally, and emotionally stronger. Through team running, children begin to set and achieve goals while learning the importance of sportsmanship. Studies have shown that children who run outdoors experience reduced levels of stress and anxiety, and gain focus and concentration in their everyday lives. In a time where screens take center stage, it is more critical than ever to get our children outside, breathing fresh air, and running! Most importantly: it’s super fun!

It‘s thyme to turnip the beet on what kids eat! Join our 'COOL'inary Cooking Club with new recipes every week! Our engaging cooking classes make cooking fun and deliciously educational. Kids will enjoy tasty, healthy recipes while learning S.T.E.A.M. (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math), culture, language, geography, and more. Led by experienced Chef Instructors, we ensure all allergies are accommodated, and recipes are always nut-free. Explore our weekly recipes and join us to whip up some culinary fun!

Come make art (and messes!) with Ms. Knue after school! Each week we’ll dive into new art techniques and creative processes that help bring students’ ideas to life. We’ll turn recyclables into treasures, make our own paint from dried-up markers, tie-dye with plants and flowers, use the sun to create magical photographs, and so much more! Students will help lead the way in our projects — experimenting, problem-solving, and building independence and confidence in their artistic choices. It’s a space to get curious, creative, and a little messy!

Ignite Your Drama | 3:30-4:45 pm | Grades 2-4 | $495

Join our own Timothy House Drama Teacher, Ms. Kangas, on a fun adventure where students will explore and cultivate their dramatic spark by learning the craft of acting while fostering self-expression, creativity, and collaboration. Using scripts and songs, students will learn storytelling techniques and build characters as they expand their imaginations. While playing drama games, students will develop their social skills by role playing with their peers. Through rehearsals and a final performance, students will build confidence, their collaborative skills, self-management skills, and learn to communicate effectively, both on- and off-stage.

Dwight is proud to partner with SPARK Business Academy this spring term. Learn how to manage your money in this program promoting essential life skills! Set your financial goals, develop a budget from scratch, shop for a credit card, and calculate the monthly cost of your dream car. Students also learn about mortgages, FICO scores, taxes, and the dangers of piling up debt. Through simulations and hands-on activities, students explore financial decisions they will have to make in the future.
